My creative journey as an African American Artisan began later and excitingly in my life; not unusual for late bloomers. With a natural ability to see things in love and light, intellectual and creative perspective, I always knew that there was something inside me waiting to be re-birthed.
In my spirit, I wanted to create all things inspiring and beautiful whether it was crafting, designing, interior design, gardening or consignment retail. Many things I learned through self study and with intentionality. Even with a formal education in Human Resources, I had a passion and strong desire to be A Creative.
In the physical realm, I found myself working through obstacles on the path to creativity. The journey although challenging and sweet, many experiences appeared to be out of alignment when actually they were falling into place. It was preparation and for my development. "My creativity was cultivated and nurtured in places and spaces that I envisioned can be filled and transformed with light and illumination. teaching, entrepreneurship and a business owner."
My platform evolved into theNational Arts. I began to see how it reached and inspire others. The call to design were dormant far too long. Destiny said, "pick up your tools. As the doors begin to open, I confidently walked through them unapologetically; as I know the divine source that has blessed me beyond the carnal mind with such an amazing flow of art. I am responsible for the energy that I bring and that I allow as my canvas. " Psalm 90:17
